BridBridgman figure drawings are simplified, but also incredibly complex, and trying to understand how he approaches anatomy can be frustrating for artists. My old teacher, Jeff Watts, recently authored a book where he breaks down Bridgman’s work in a way that’s accessible for students. In this video you’ll get a sneak preview of the book: Watts on Bridgman with some of Jeff’s Drawings and a demo of his techniques from the Bridgman book and course.

Along with the students and instructors in a classroom setting,  I also collaborate with them to create online instructional videos, demos, and promotional pieces:

Erik Gist of Watts Atelier did the drawing of me in Zombie makeup and costume for a Friday night online session. On the left is the behind the scenes and finished drawing, while on the right is a three hour demo (the usual length of a class session) starting with the figure lay-in to completion. This is one pose for the duration of the time. Session is complete with a Q&A session for a one on one with the artist and instructor. 

A previous instructor of Watts Atelier Stan Prokopenko has been very successful with his own instructional website. We worked together to create a few of the following videos and drawings. 

I have had the pleasure of working with and creating this demo piece with artist Ken Goldman, featuring a page of multiple poses. (2-15 minute quick sketches).
